Lauren was born in Tampa,Fl. where she lived all of her short life. She attended Gibsonton Elementary School and was in the third grade. She is survived by her Mother, Kristine Waller, her Father, Bryan Strahan, Stepmother, Linda. Brother, Christopher, Sister, Faith, Grandparents, Gene and Joyce Allman, Aunt Dana Allman, Uncle Kevin Waller, Great Grandmother, Shirley Sandage,Cousins, Jennifer, Jesse, Matthew, Jessica, Jeremy, Jenna and numerous other family members and friends. She lies in rest at Ruskin Memorial Park Cemetary in Ruskin Florida.

On Friday April 14th. Lauren went to spend spring break with her Daddy and his family. Her Grandmother, Mary Lou Clegg Stokes had made plans to have Lauren's portraits taken on Sunday the 16th. So they went to Walmart and Aunt Darlene Doginarri went along. They were finished with the photos about 11:15am. They left and set out to have more fun.Mary was driving,Lauren was riding shotgun(she always called "shotgun"!) Darlene was in the backseat. We don't know for sure what happened next, this is what we have been told. Upon attempting a left turn from a major highway they were struck by a van on the passenger side. Lauren was killed on impact,(we thank God that she did not suffer) .Mary and Darlene followed shortly after. The accident happened at 11:35 am. The photo above is one that was taken that morning.

This is something I would like to share...
While out shopping one Saturday we were put face to face with a woman who was an eyewitness to the accident, (Pure coincidence? I think not) she went above and beyond the responsibility of a citizen. Not knowing whether Lauren was still alive or not she held her hand, prayed and told her that help was on it's way. Kristine was able to ask her some of the questions that had been haunting her and hopefully was able to put some of her pain to rest. This beautiful lady's name is Irma. Irma seeked out and found Lauren's grave and has visited there. She has had a very hard time dealing with what she was faced with on April 16th,2000. Thank you Irma, it helps to know that someone who loves The Lord was with her those final moments.
May God Bless You Irma....
